TOM FOX

            Tom Fox is a lawyer who is in private practice in Los Angeles, California. He commenced his legal career in Washington, D.C. at the United States Attorney’s Office. He worked as a Deputy Public Defender in the Los Angeles Public Defender’s Office.

            Through  the years his practice has expanded from practicing criminal law exclusively to focusing on entertainment law. He represents a select few clients in the record, film and television industry, both artists in the public eye as well as the producers, directors and executives who are behind the scenes. Because of his now unique background, discretion in his client list is mandatory.

            He is a principle in Perry / Fox Productions, LLC, which created the cable television variety show, The Ojai Valley Boys on which he is the executive producer. They are currently in pre-production on the ell as the feature film, The Whole Banana. He is the executive producer on the feature film, Red is the Color Of…..

            Under his Laughing Fox Entertainment, LLC banner he has  produced various plays including Vince Mckewin’s Ad Wars  to Jenny Sullivan’s J for J, which has the dubious distinction of being the last stage performance of the late John Ritter. He co-produced The Whole Banana with John Bennett Perry, Debbie Perry and Matthew Perry. He was a  co-producer on the critically acclaimed musical North on South Central Boulevard as well as the award winning All the Help You Need, the Adventures of a Hollywood Handyman”, which won the Award for Overall Excellence at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2004.

            Tom is the founder of MusicSend.com, an independent artist’s networking website which caters to unsigned musical talent in search of an audience, promotion and the sometimes elusive recording contract, which provides them with a digital distribution network for their music.

            He is the speaker and panelist at the DIY Festival in both the areas of law and producing.  The DIY Festival is held in New York and Los Angeles, twice a year and covers book publishing, the music industry as well as the film industry.

 

            He is currently growing old in Los Angeles, California.
